“The small-scale industries and MSMEs have received much-needed attention in the Rs 1259.66 budgetary outlay for the industries. Village and Small-Scale Industries will get Rs 483.40 crore. This will also act as a support mechanism to energise this segment and rejuvenate MSMEs that are defunct or disrupted due to Covid crisis. The proposal for the construction of multi-storeyed industrial estates and the implementation of the Capacity Building Programme through District Industries Centres and institutions are also a welcome move. The announcement of launching an annual international trade fair will open up a great platform for local businesses in the state.”
