Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Government has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court seeking an exemption from relocating the State-run liquor outlets along the National Highway within the Corporation and municipal limits.
The petition has sought time for relocating the outlets till the end of the next financial year. It seeks to clarify that a Supreme Court order issued on December 15 last for relocating the liquor outlets on the National High way was not binding on the liquor licences issued to five star hotels, beer and wine parlours and also to beer and wine parlours in hotels and restaurants in other categories too.
