Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS Hospitals), a leading multi-disciplinary provider of healthcare services in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, today announced the appointment of Dr. B. Abhinay as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In his previous role as Vice-President, Dr. Abhinay oversaw Business Development and Strategy for KIMS Hospitals. In this role, Dr. Abhinay has been instrumental for KIMS Hospitals’ organic and inorganic growth initiatives, including setting up a 200-bed medical facility in Kondapur, and partnering with existing hospitals in Vizag, Anantapur and Ongole. Dr. Abhinay has played a critical role in the growth of the KIMS Hospital network to the 3,004 bed system it is today, across nine locations in Andhrapradesh and Telangana. Leading global growth equity firm, General Atlantic, has been a significant minority investor in the company since 2018.

Dr. B. Abhinay completed his MBBS from the Deccan Medical College, Hyderabad in 2010. He was the lone qualified medical practitioner from India to be selected by the office of Hillary Clinton in 2011, to travel across the United States of America and understand healthcare in general and cancer care in particular.
