  • Krista Manna, founder and owner of KR Architecture & Interiors , an Abington, MA-based architectural firm, has been selected as a 2021 “40 Under 40” award winner by Cape & Plymouth Business.

The awards spotlight the region’s top young business leaders who excel in their industry and show dynamic leadership. This program, now in its 12th year, honors distinguished businesspeople under the age of 40 who have made a mark in the region at an extraordinarily young age.

Manna’s nomination highlighted that she fits the definition of “Entrepreneur” perfectly. She runs two businesses, one in a male-dominated industry (construction), and her architectural firm, KR Architecture & Interiors. She has pulled together teams to do some spectacular renovations to homes that she purchased on the construction side of her business, and in her architectural business she works on both residential and commercial projects. She has had client work in upscale communities including Norwell and Hanover where she has designed additions and renovations for historical buildings. She is described as “having an eye for design and for construction and seeing beyond the current look of a building or a set of design plans to envision what it can look like.”

More than 150 nominations for the “40 Under 40” awards were received this year according to Cape & Plymouth Business Media Publisher and CEO Dale Shadbegian, adding, “The 2021 class best exemplifies an entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to community service and potential to positively contribute to the future of the region.”

All “40 Under 40” honorees will be celebrated at a special event Thursday, September 30, at the Cape Codder Resort & Spa in Hyannis.

“I am really honored to have been included in this group,” said Manna, adding, “I thank Cape & Plymouth Business for recognizing my work and the work of the other finalists.”
