Lakshmi Vilas Bank has decided to pay homage to the former President of India Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam by doing some thing which he had wanted to be done i.e work extra hours. In a joint statement, the Managing Director of Lakshmi Vilas Bank Sri. Rakesh Sharma, the General Secretary of Lakshmi Vilas Bank Officers Association (LVBOA) Sri. K.Gopish and the General Secretary of Lakshmi Vilas Bank Employees Union(LVBEU) Sri P. Manoharan called upon all staff members of the Bank to voluntarily work for 2 extra hours on Saturday , the 1st August 2015 to pay a befitting homage to the departed leader. The call is expected to be heartily accepted by every staff member as a result of which all the offices of the Bank would work upto 4pm on that day. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Rakesh Sharma stated that this step while showing the Bank’s deep respect and regard for the People’s President, also exhibits the excellent industrial relations climate existing in the organization. He complimented the LVBOA and LVBEU representatives for joining in the call and further said that the Bank would reach greater heights with the active cooperation that it receives from all strata of staff and valued customers.
