Kokrajhar: A ceremonial distribution of certificate of title to the claimants under Forest Rights Act-2006 was held today at Khangklabada in Kokrajhar district.

Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary, Assam minister for social welfare Pramila Rani Brahma, BTC executive member Rajib Brahma attended the programme and distributed the certificates to the beneficiaries along with a sapling each.

Organised by Integrated Tribal Development Project(ITDP), Kokrajhar, total 793 forest dwellers beneficiaries in 15 villages under three gram sabhas- Amguri, Bhaoragwja and Sonapuri, covering total 5800 bighas land were ceremonially distributed the certificate of title to the claimants.

Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Partha Pratim Mazumar, Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh, Kokrajhar Corcel officer Dipan Barman were among those present in the meeting.
