Jharkhand: A large quantity of arms and ammunitions including five rifles looted from police were seized from naxal-affected Ghatsial sub-division in Jharkhand today.

The seizure was made on the basis of leads provided by the secretary of Jharkhand-Bengal-Odisha Border Regional Committee of CPI (Maoists), Kanhu Munda, who along with six members of his squad had surrendered before the police on Wednesday last.

Police said, the security personnel launched a massive search operation on the basis of lead provided by the surrendered Maoists leader and recovered rifles, pistols with magazine and other arms and ammunitions.
