  • New Delhi: Leadup Universe, Asia’s Leading career acceleration organisation which specialises in creating unique learning programs and career pathways for aspiring CXOs, has recently been acquired by India’s first career tech venture, Board Infinity.

Founded in 2021 by Mayank Verma and Rashmi Mandloi, Leadup Universe has strong premium university tie-ups, an exclusive CXO Club and Strategic Programs for Executives. Sandeep Sinha from Lumis Partners, Pankaj Bansal, Partner at Work Universe & Group CEO of PeopleStrong, Sulbha Rai (CPO at Renewbuy.com), and Dr. NS Rajan, Former CHRO of Tata Sons, are investors and advisors in Leadup Universe.

While the deal value and financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, the company shared that the entire team of Leadup Universe, including its co-founders and investors, will join Board Infinity. The brands, however, will be separately retained. The move will extend Board Infinity’s offerings beyond its current ones that focus on early careers to mid-senior level executives who are aspiring to be future CXOs.

Sumesh Nair, Co-founder and CEO of Board Infinity, said that the acquisition of Leadup would enable Board Infinity to facilitate higher lifetime value per customer over a 20-year period using the newly created career graph product, which can be the de-facto way careers can be made for professionals from early career to C-Suite. Leadup’s first program with XLRI was a massive success, and the community has more than 10,000 aspiring CXOs. We would want to leverage the strengths of both companies and create programs for the technology and management space for mid-career and late-career professionals while Board Infinity continues to strengthen its leadership in the early career space. “

“We have disrupted learning engagement in the senior executive career space with more than 95% of customers completing our courses enabled by a hybrid experience and CXO mentoring compared to the typical average of 50% in self-paced video courses”, Mayank Verma, Co-founder & CEO of Leadup Universe added.
