  • New Delhi: LG Electronics India has launched the ‘Festival of life’ campaign to bring cheer and happiness to the underprivileged children of the society during this festival season. This campaign, better known as ‘Light a diya’, aims to encourage consumers to visit the website (http://www.lg.com/in/lightadiya.jsp) and help the company support CRY – Child Rights and You – through some simple clicks.

    People can light a Diya at any of the state/union territory of India. On each such click, LG will contribute Re 1/- to CRY, towards ensuring basic rights of Indian children. One is also persuaded to invite friends to join this campaign and make Diwali special for the children of India. LG has taken up this activity on a digital medium and will be live till second week of November.

    Facebook users can visit LG fanpage “Life’s Good”, and can light a diya. Also they can share this with their friends’ network on social networking sites.

    LG has also introduced many virtual treats for the supporters. To make it exciting for the people who log on to the website, one can decorate the thali with virtual sweets, send e-greetings to their families and friends, play crackers and also go through numerous other promotions for Diwali.

    Mr. L.K. Gupta, Chief Marketing Officer, LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. shared his delight over the campaign and said, “Light a Diya is in its third year of celebration and the response to such an initiative has been elating. This idea of such an initiative has been to acknowledge the underprivileged children and contribute to their lives to some extent. We request and hope that the entire people of India will join us in a noble cause like this.”
