Mangaldai  : Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), a State University of Government of Assam has conferred its Life Time Achievement Award to Dr Sarbeswsr Saharia, the Padmashri recipient Mangaldai born renowned surgeon in recognition of his outstanding academic contribution and service in the field of Medical Science and Medical Education. This has been informed in a letter issued by the Registrar of the University on Wednesday while inviting Dr Saharia to receive. The award will be presented in the Annual the celebration of the University scheduled on February 17 next, the letter further stated. The news has made the friends, relatives and close circles of Dr Saharia here at his native town jubilant. It is worth mentioning here that Dr Saharia who  settled in Hyderabad has more than 3500 successful kidney transplantation under his belt.
