  • Ludhiana Times, emerges as the best channel to raise people’s issues

    Ludhiana : Ludhiana Times, leading Digital media channel has been proved as the best channel to raise the issues of Public. As the wrong information, rumours circulated on social media mainly during Covid 19 time, the Ludhiana Times proved as authentic source of information as the channel provides real time and authentic information to its viewers.


    Moreover, Ludhiana Times also highlight many issues which has waken the administration and Police from deep slumber. During the Covid time, the district administration issues various orders regarding lockdown timings, curfew etc and Ludhiana Times always remain first to inform its viewers about the information. Within no time, the people of Ludhiana started depending on Ludhiana Times Channel for all information and news.
    Apart from providing information, Ludhiana Times also exposed fake NGO racket duping people in name of patient’s help. After the video story was telecasted on Ludhiana Times Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms, the Ludhiana Police has acted swiftly and registered case in this context.


    Owner and News Editor of Ludhiana Times, Amarpreet Singh Makkar has noticed that some youngsters use to stand in various chowks of city and demand help in cash for needy patients admitted in hospitals. The youngsters use to carry photo of patient and seek help from people at traffic signals.

    Being a journalist, Amarpreet Singh Makkar suspected that it may be a scam and started investigating the matter. Ludhiana Times Reporter Sanamjit Singh Bhalla was sent to find out the truth. The reporter visited members of NGOs to know about the details of patients and later it was verified from hospital.


    Ludhiana Times team was shocked to know that the details provided by NGO are false and no such patient was admitted in hospital. If the patient was found but he was not aware that someone was collecting money for him.


    As the story was telecasted on Ludhiana Times, the people were surprised and shocked to know about the fraud on patient’s name. The story was widely circulated on social media and Ludhiana Police was forced to take action. Commissioner of Police, Rakesh Aggarwal posted story of Ludhiana Times on social media handles of Ludhiana Police and informed that the officials were directed to find the so called NGO members. Within few hours the Police arrested five persons including kingpin of the gang.
    The Police investigation revealed that the gang members used to collect information of patients admitted in hospitals and start collecting funds. However the patient was not aware of such collection and never given any help from NGO. The Police registered FIR at Police station division number 8 and also banned the collection of funds for patient’s help without letter of Doctor.


    The Ludhiana Police and people thanked Ludhiana Times for exposing a big fraud running in city from many years.
