In order for the visitors to have a full personal experience of the benefits of total electric and daylight control at the AceTech Show in Mumbai during 3-6 Nov 2011: Lutron will build a 100sqm stall to simulate a residential and commercial environment with furniture, lighting, windows, and electrical appliances.

We will have 1 commercial setup with a conference room and 1 residential setup with a living room, dining area and a bedroom

The Commercial setup at the conference room will install 3 rows of compact florescent lamps parallel to the window with roller shades.  All the CL lamps will be controlled by Lutron’s cost-effective dimming modules named Energi Savr Node™ (ESN) integrated with Lutron’s brand new Motorized Venetian Blinds. The slats of the venetian blinds are available in both aluminum and natural wood.  You can adjust both the height of the blind and the angle of the slats with one push of button. Our Intelligent Title Alignment™ technology will guarantee all slats on the same blinds or even between adjacent blinds will tilt at the same angle.

For added convenience and energy saving, we have integrated the lighting control system with our Radio Powr Savr™ occupancy sensor and daylight sensor, enabling automatic adjustment of  shades and lighting accordingly to available daylight level and occupancy in the space.  All the sensors will be wireless, which can save all the wiring problems, making  it a perfect solution for retrofit projects. Both sensors are battery-operated with 10-year battery life. For manual control, visitors can try our new Pico® wireless controller, which communicates with radio frequency which can pass through walls and is available in  hand-held, table-top or wall mounted version, 1- gang or 2-gang.

Inside the conference room, there will be a LCD TV displaying Lutron’s energy saving and reporting software named Green Glance™. Green glance is the software with Lutron’s Total Light and Energy System called Quantum™, which was installed in a lot of green buildings worldwide, including the New York Times Building and the SAP Campus in USA.

At the residential setup in the living room + dining room side, Lutron will install a HomeWorks® whole-home lighting control system integrated with Lutron’s motorized Roman Shade. We will also demonstrate how to use the Apple® app for HomeWorks to control all the lightings and shades with the sysyem using iPad®.

At the bedroom side, we will have a motorized curtain integrated with our GRAFIK Eye® QS Preset Light and Shade Control System. Visitors can experience the user-friendly programming of the system and control both the lightings and the shades with buttons on the control unit, or with a bedside seeTouch keypad. The built-in LCD screen on the control unit will also show how much energy one is saving when dimming the lights.

    Saving Energy the Lutron Way

Lutron is committed to helping its customers find ways to save energy and all of Lutron’s lighting control systems enable customers to reduce electricity usage and extend lamp life significantly.  In addition, the company’s range of shade and blind controls allow natural light levels to be maximised, offering the ultimate in efficient artificial and natural lighting control.  Lutron leads the industry in controlling energy efficient light sources and full-range dimming is now possible for a wide range of fluorescent lamp types.
