In Maharashtra, at least eight persons were killed and around 20 are feared trapped after a three-storeyed building collapsed in Bhiwandi town in Thane district.
The building, situated at Patel compound of Narpoli near Dhamankar Naka, collapsed early this morning, while the residents were asleep. Search and rescue operations are underway. AIR spoke to NDRF DG SN Pradhan about the incident.
