    Maharashtra Womens Team Emerge Victorious At The 3rd Edition Of Women’s T20 National Cricket Championship For Deaf 2022

    Mumbai : The Maharashtra Women’s team has emerged victorious at the T20 National Cricket Championship for Deaf 2022. The perennial event organised by the Indian Deaf Cricket Association in association with The Deaf International Cricket Council was held in Mumbai from 26th – 29th April 2022. The tournament witnessed participation from 8 women teams from across India, wherein teams from Chandigarh, New Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh participated to fight for the coveted prize. The tournament was held at the iconic Islam Gymkhana at Marine Lines, Mumbai.

    The final match of the tournament between Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh turned out to be a nail-biting contest, with the Maharashtra team chasing a target of 56 runs set by UP. The tournament brought forth some outstanding performances where Needa Shaikh emerged as Player of the Series and Pratima Mishra was awarded as the Best Batsman.
