Jains across the country are celebrating the birth of Lord Mahavir today, the 24th and last Thirthankar of Jainism. Jain temples are tastefully decorated with colorful flags and huge processions are being carried out in various parts of the country to celebrate the auspicious occassion. Our Correpondent reports that in the national capital, hundreds of people are participating in the traditional procession being carried out in the walled city.
