     Guwahati: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress president Mamata Banerjee arrived in Shillong on Monday on a two-day visit. This is his first visit to Meghalaya.

    Just two months before the assembly elections, the yatra is aimed at sending a clear message to the state’s political parties and voters that TMC means business in Meghalaya. Accompanied by party general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, the Bengal CM arrived at the Shillong airport in Umroi, where she was received by the party’s Meghalaya in-charge Manas Ranjan Bhunia, state president Charles Pingrope, leader of opposition Mukul Sangma, party MLAs, leaders and workers.

If mukra incident takes place in Kolkata, a befitting reply will be given. 2023 will bring a new government along with the new year and bring a message of peace.
