New Delhi : Jewelry designer, Mamta Malhotra Grover hosted the preview of  ‘Illumination’, limited edition jewelry inspired by legendary artist S.H. Raza. The occasion saw the presence of swish set of fashion designers, socialites, art aficionados, and entrepreneurs. The first of its kind, this exhibition is a beautiful amalgamation of art and jewelry  Each piece of jewelry is unique and is inspired by world renowned artist, S.H. Raza’s works.

The exhibition features a fantastical array of jewelry of unique artistry and extraordinary color made with pure silver. The exclusive jewelry pieces consisting of necklaces, bracelets, and arm-bands, are strung in Swaroski and semi precious stones.

“One paints because one adores and loves life. When a painting is made into a piece of jewelry  both its beauty and value get enhanced, and it becomes an object of adornment. My experience of working with Mamta Malhotra has been satisfying since the work has been done with sensitivity and care.” said, Sayed Haider Raza.

On the occasion, Mamta Malhotra, said, “Raza Saheb has been a mentor to me, guiding me with his vision and wisdom, but even more, has shaped and deepened my understanding of art, aesthetics, form and more importantly, of life. And now when is back in his beloved India, getting to work closely with him, I can only feel blessed.”

Mamta Malhotra, born and brought up in the United Kingdom was inspired by the fashion fever of drapes and accessories, and her love for jewels has always been her trademark, hence the Jewels Amore. She grew up with a burning passion for gemstones, curious about the mystique behind the glitter. This thirst for unfolding the magic and myths embedded within these beautiful minerals led her to the doorsteps of G.I.A. (Gemological Institute of America), the world famous institute for gems and Jewelry  Her love for art and jewelry got her to take the step towards her show ‘Illumination’. This is the first step to bring Art & Jewelry together.
