  • Mangalayatan University signs MoU with Mudra Institute of Communications

    Aligarh: Mangalayatan University, a premier state university, with a vision to establish a globally recognized academic center of excellence, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigiousMudra Institute of Communications (MICA). This alliance is an outcome of Mangalayatan University’s continuous efforts to develop proficient professional courses to bridge the gap between industry and academia and make its students well qualified for industry.

    Under the purview of this MoU, the Institute of Journalism and Mass Communication ofMangalayatan University will work closely with MICA and offer joint programs in various communication specializations. This association will bring to fore MICA’s expertise in communication programs, while Mangalayatan University will bring its wealth of experience in devising industry-specific programs that would equip students with technical skills as well as other essential soft skills such as teamwork, innovation, global mobility, strong communication, flexibility and learning.

    Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mohan Lakhamraju, Vice Chairman, Mangalayatan University, said, “It’s a significant development for Mangalayatan University as we see a soaring demand for quality communication professionals these days and there a considerable shortage of well trained and qualified talent in the country, particularly in smaller cities. Our association with MICA will facilitate quality education and industry awareness to aspirants from these cities and will also fulfill industry demand for skilled professionals. MICA’s expertise in diverse communication courses combined with our commitment in preparing students for the industry would pave way to achieve the desired goals that we lay down for our students.”

    Says Dr. Ashok Ranchhod, Director, MICA, “We are happy to collaborate with Mangalayatan University in the field of communications management”, noting that the association would lead to the birth of a dynamic generation of communication professionals equipped to handle the challenges of the dynamic upcoming era.

    The two organizations will also conduct regular seminars to enable idea exchanges, faculty trainings and student exchanges, enabling members of both organizations to benefit from each other’s strengths.
