Manipur Governor Dr. Najma Heptulla has donated her one day salary to the Governor Relief fund for flood victims.

Speaking to mediapersons at Raj Bhavan on Friday, the Governor said, all staff of Raj Bhavan will also donate their one day salary to the relief fund.

She also appealed to the people of the state who can afford whatever they can to donate and contribute to help flood affected people who are in need.

The Governor said, she had a discussion with State Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and Union DoNER Minister on precautionary measures that can be taken up by the government for the flood affected people.

She said, Centre government is also aware of the situation. The Governor further said, Raj Bhavan will not celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr today considering the grim situation that affected large number of people.
