  • Medical devices now commonly used to perform minimally invasive medical procedures

    Cook Medical, a global manufacturer, innovator and distributor of minimally invasive medical device technology for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, has drawn up major expansion plans in India setting up three brand new offices and warehousing facilities in Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai through its Indian arm Cook Medical India.

    Cook Medicals is also introducing some new innovative products in Heart care and Women’s Health. With the increasing implantation of cardiac rhythm management devices such as pacemakers and implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICDs) throughout Asia, the need to extract problematic cardiac leads is also growing. Lead Management products from Cook Medical play a role in this space and may facilitate the minimally-invasive removal of dysfunctional or infected cardiac leads.

    The three centers will be inaugurated by Mr Rod Solomons, Trade and Investment Commissioner to South Asia, Government of Queensland, Australia, Mr. Barry Thomas, Vice-President Cook Medical, Director – Asia Pacific and Mr. R.Suresh, Country Director, Cook Medical India.

    Cook Medical has been serving the Indian market since 1979, forging a strong presence in the country. Cook India now contributes around US$9 million each year with strong growth of over 20% forecast.
