Bangalore: In a bid to encourage entrepreneurship, National Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party, Meenakshi Lekhi will be in Bangalore to inaugurate three major entrepreneurship-focused events on Friday, July 25, 2014.
The first event, ‘Nasscom Fire–Side Chat with Meenakshi Lekhi,’ will be organized by the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and will be held at the city’s luxury hotel, The Leela Palace from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The following event is the Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CEE) fund raiser event focused on raising funds for women entrepreneurs at large from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The final event is the inauguration of the Incubation Facility at IFIM Business School Bangalore, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The first event, ‘Nasscom Fire–Side Chat with Meenakshi Lekhi,’ aims to facilitate women empowerment via entrepreneurship, will be launched by noted politician Meenakshi Lekhi and will be attended by entrepreneurs in large number. Talking about the event Lekhi said, there could not be any better platform than Nasscom Fire –Side Chat event, where the fairer sex can gain insights and best practices to achieve success in the Indian entrepreneurial community and I am looking forward for women participation’s at large.”
Lekhi will then launch the Fund Raiser event, for Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CEE), advocated by Dr. Som Singh and Tejasvi Surya. In this event, Lekhi will talk about the Rs. 10,000 crore funding, allocated for entrepreneurs by the Government of India in 2014, as well as the upcoming new schemes which will promote entrepreneurship in India. During her last presence at the CEE conference, held in April this year, Lekhi’s had shared her ideas on the upcoming budget. Today, the same ideas are incorporated in the 2014 budget for India. CEE Advocate, Dr. Som Singh added, “At CEE, it is our continuous endeavor to bridge the gap between the policy makers and the entrepreneurs. We want our policy makers to listen and understand the challenges the entrepreneurs face to start and run an enterprise. We are glad to have a national figure like Meenakshi Lekhi by our side to support the event and are sure that, her association will help us strengthen the platform even better.”
In the evening, Meenakshi Lekhi will visit IFIM Business School Bangalore to inaugurate their newly formed Incubation Facility which aims to nurture entrepreneurship. Calling the incubation facilities as the ‘one-stop shop’ for entrepreneurial support, Lekhi said, “It is of immense importance to offer the initial handholding to the aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as the startup owners. With true mentorship, the incubation facilities guide the individuals on various aspects of entrepreneurship and assist them to ideate, innovate and expand their existing businesses.”
