The meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, CCS is currently underway at the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss the security scenario against the backdrop of terror strike at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir which claimed lives of 43 CRPF personnel.

The meeting is being chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CCS is the apex decision-making body of the government on all issues pertaining to national security and strategic affairs. Defence Minister, Home Minister, External Affairs Minister and the Finance Minister are part of the CCS.
