The Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar would meet the leaders of non BJP parties on Friday in a bid to break the impasse in Parliament.
The Opposition has been demanding a joint parliamentary committee probe into the 2G spectrum allocation issue which nearly washed out the winter session of Parliament.
On Thursday the speaker had convened a meeting of political parties as part of a fresh initiative to break the deadlock on the issue.
Meira Kumar has exuded confidence that the deadlock would be broken.
The Speaker had earlier held a meeting with leaders to end the impasse but it had failed.
Two all-party meetings called by the government to end the impasse had also failed.
