    Mendocino County Crab & Wine Days_2Drive just two hours North of San Francisco, every January Mendocino County celebrates locally harvested Dungeness crab and award-winning wines from “America’s Greenest Wine Region” with a festival that satiates the taste buds of foodies and oenophiles alike. The 15th annual Crab, Wine and Beer Festival, includes crab feeds, wine and beer dinners, crab-centric menus and lodging specials. On weekends during the event over 40 regional wineries serve their top wines with delicious crab appetizers (think cakes, dip, chowder and crab-topped blini served with sparkling wine). Part of the fun is getting your passport stamped at the tasting rooms; each stamp brings you closer to the opportunity to win a trip package. Though it seems like you can never get your fill of crab, over a dozen restaurants offer seasonal crab menus throughout the festival, and brunches and prix fixe menus are also easy to find. From gourmet, crab-themed dinners in four-star restaurants, to family-style cioppino feeds, to the ever popular Crab Cake Cook-off featuring local Mendocino chefs, this festival has something for everyone!
