Hyderabad: Mercure Hyderabad KCP organized Solidarity Week, an AccorHotels initiative to support economically backward sections of the society and help the communities grow. This year, as a part of the Solidarity Week, Mercure Hyderabad KCP visited Cherish Foundation an NGO working towards the development and rehabilitation of orphan kids and spent an evening with them. The hotel staff donated essential items and entertained the kids by playing games like Musical chairs, board games, etc to make them feel special.
Solidarity Week by AccorHotels celebrates unity and generosity around the world. AccorHotels has involved over 20,000 of its employees in more than 500 hotels across 45 countries. AccorHotels had started this Solidarity Week initiative in 2008. Each year, over the course of a week in December, it encourages employees to participate in charity initiatives, providing a practical response to the needs expressed by local organizations. At the heart of each project, the dedication of AccorHotels employees means being involved in the lives of the communities that welcome the Group’s hotels and taking heartfelt hospitality beyond borders.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Soumitra Pahari, Hotel Manager, Mercure Hyderabad KCP said, “This year we have celebrated the Solidarity Week with kids from Cherish Foundation to contribute towards their betterment and help them lead a qualitative life. The Mercure team donated basic items and spent great time with the kids. We at Mercure Hyderabad KCP always are committed to do everything within our scope for the improvement of our society. We are extremely pleased with the response and we look forward to celebrating many such initiatives in the future.”
