The Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) in India is organizing a Mega FAM Trip to Macau for agents from newer growth areas in the country from August 26-30, 2013. It will educate the participant travel agents from 11 Indian cities across the country with first hand experiences of varied attractions in Macau.

MGTO will also host B2B sessions as part of the FAM Trip and it will have the participating agents interact and discuss business with their counterparts in Macau. Participants will include travel agents from 11 cities across India – Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Guwahati and Pune.

“The Mega FAM Trip is a part of our promotional plans for this year and we firmly believe that these trips help our travel friends understand the tourism potential that Macau offers. These trips are also an excellent opportunity for Indian travel agents to increase their sales and it helps us generate more number of outbound tourists to Macau from their respective cities,” said MGTO India Representative, SanJeet.

MGTO has been organizing regular sales blitzes, roadshows and FAM Trips for both agents and media in the country. It recently participated in travel fairs in Kolkata and Hyderabad and was conferred the Most Promising New Destination award at the Kolkata edition of Travel and Tourism Fair 2013.

The Mega FAM trip will acclimatize the agents with the tourism products of Macau and help promote the destination in India better. It will give them an opportunity for site inspections of tourist attractions like hotels, food, places to eat and visit etc.
