‘Miyungma Daogah Waterfall’ a new inclusion in Dima Hasao tourism

Haflong  : In continuation of exploring new tourist destinations in Dima Hasao the ‘Miyungma Daogah Waterfall’ at Umrangso (29 kilo), another beautiful waterfall has been added in the Tourism Map of Dima Hasao as it was ceremonially inaugurated by Sri Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council b on Sunday. 

The inaugural function was attended by Chairperson, Smti Ranu Langthasa, Executive Members Biswasjit Daulagupu, Samuel Changsan, L. Darnei, Golonjo Thaosen, Ngamrothang Hmar and MACs like Monjit Naiding, Nojit Kemprai, Projit Hohai, Bijit Langthasa of  NCHAC while Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council attended as the chief guest.

Development of such easy to approach and beautiful waterfall is one of the initiatives of NCHAC in making the Dima Hasao one of the best tourist places of the state of Assam was being done by the Forest & Environment department of the district in association with Tourism Department. The surrounding of the Waterfall was developed with a record period of only 25 days for which the department was appreciated by all. 

In this connection a well attended meeting was also held maintaining the Covid protocol wherein speakers like EM Samuel Changsan, EM L. Darnei, EM Ngamrothang Hmar and MACs like Monjit Naiding, Nojit Kemprai spoke on the views of CEM Gorlosa for the development of the district and its people and to make this district one of the best district of the State of Assam in all sphere be it tourism, sports, Arts and culture including all the communities living in the district with peace and harmony. They also said the present executive committee of NCHAC led by CEM Gorlosa  and blessed by the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and others leaders of BJP is always committed to the betterment of the place and its people. They further appealed to the people of Dima Hasao to extend their continuous support to the NCHAC for development. 

CEM Gorlosa in his promising speech said none can stop him in dream of making the Dima Hasao, a place to be reckoned for its natural beauty, its multi-talented people and for all the good things of the district since most of the time it was noticed that all the good things of the district were being ignored for some un-established reasons. 

Earlier all the guests and invitees were felicitated with traditional ‘ Risha’ and a photograph of the waterfall. 

M. Tungnung,  IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest accorded his hearty welcome to the guests as well as the gatherings also explained the aims and objective of the developing the waterfall as a tourist spot.
