A moderate earthquake measuring 5. 5 on the Richter scale struck off North Sulawesi in Indonesia on Saturday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported on its website that a 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit the North Sulawesi region.
The quake occurred at 02:34 a.m. Jakarta time Saturday (1934 GMT Friday) with the epicentre at 126 km southeast of Melonguane of North Sulawesi and with the depth of 10 km under sea bed.
