Modi to kick start “Make In India Week” in Mumbai today

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick start the Make In India Week in Mumbai today. The event aims at providing greater momentum to the Centre’s ambitious Make in India initiative. The objective of the Make in India Week is to showcase the world the achievements of India in its manufacturing sector and to promote the country as preferred manufacturing hub globally. Its theme is innovation, design and sustainability. The Prime Minister of Sweden Mr. Kjell Lofven, the Prime Minister of Finland Mr. Juha Petri Sipila and the Prime Minister of Lithuania Mr. Algirdas Butkevicius will be Guest of Honour on this occasion. AIR correspondent reports, the event is being organised by the Centre in collaboration with the Maharashtra Government and Confederation of Indian Industry, CII.
Starting today ,Make In India Week will be celebrated in Mumbai
Following are expected to participate :
* 60 Countries / 4 Heads of States
* 5,000 Foreign Delegates / 8,000 Indian Delegates
* 190 Companies / 17 Indian States
* 12 Chief Ministers of Indian States / 13 Union Ministers
MOUs worth Rs 4.6 Lakh*Crores are expected to be signed
After signing MOUs , some of those Foreign Companies will send their Marketing – Collaboration – JV Forming messages , to :
* 230,000 + Companies located in 387 Cities of India
* 62,000 + Companies located in 49 Cities of Maharashtra
* 57,598 Companies located in 6 Cities of Maharashtra
And when they send these messages , ” Email Alerts ” will simultaneously get sent to :
* All the targeted Indian Companies
* Chief Minister / Industry Minister / Chief Secretary of the State where
those Indian Companies are located
* Indian Ambassador / Consul , posted in the country of Foreign Company
* Concerned Union Ministers ( Industry / Commerce / Infrastructure etc )
* Concerned Union Secretaries / Secretary – DIPP
* CEO – NITI Aayog
