  • More than 46 crore 72 lakh doses of Covid vaccine administered in the country so far

    In a significant achievement, India’s Cumulative COVID vaccination coverage has surpassed 46 crore 72 lakh mark. The cumulative figure stands at 46 crore 72 lakh 59 thousand 775. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st of June. Union Health Ministry said that more than 53 lakh 72 thousand vaccine doses were administered yesterday.

    It said, more than 27 lakh 90 thousand vaccine doses were administered as first dose and four lakh 98 thousand vaccine doses given as second dose in the age group of 18 to 44 years yesterday. Cumulatively, over 15 crore 52 lakh persons in the age group of 18 to 44 years across 37 States and Union Territories have received their first dose and more than 85 lakh 77 thousand have received their second dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive.

    The Ministry said, five states namely Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have administered more than one crore cumulative doses of COVID-19 Vaccine in the age group of 18 to 44 years. Also, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Bengal have vaccinated more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group of 18 to 44 years for the first dose of COVID vaccine.
