Today, the number of women suffering from breast cancer, cervical cancer and gynaecological issues such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), have surged up. It is the need of the hour to educate women about these deadly diseases with the help of early detection. To do so, Motherhood Hospital, Kharghar screened Lady Cops of Kharghar, Kalamboli and Kamothe from March 2-6.
Dr Surabhi Siddhartha, Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Motherhood Hospital, Kharghar, highlighted, “It is the responsibility of police officers to protect the citizens and the city. Likewise, it is also our duty to come forward and do our bit to help them take charge of their health instead of neglecting it. Lady Cops have erratic schedules and hectic lifestyles, and are always on their toes due to which they find it difficult to take out time for themselves.”
