Mumbai based Ed-tech venture SOAL is solving Tech employability with its first campus in Hyderabad

Mumbai: School oAccelerated Learning, an alternate college has started its first campus in Hyderabad which is using a new way to teach it’s students. SOAL is creating a new generation of highly skilled programmers in hot tech with programs in the high demand stream of computer science engineering. Founders Pratik Agarwal, Raj Desai & Varsha Bhambhani have designed SOAL’s learning method to go beyond the ability to just use tools to write code. Their grads are gritty thinkers, hustling to solve problems and build products that can scale.

At their Hyderabad campus, T-Hub – India’s largest co-working space and incubator, SOAL is prepping its learners for the challenges of working in new-age, disruptive tech companies by focussing on four gaps in the mainstream method of learning:

SOAL’s highly trained educators and mentors, using the proprietary learning-tech platform – Delta, inspire their protégées to build 150+ projects over a span of 14 weeks with tech stack used by most of today’s hottest tech organizations.

Stemming from a deep dissatisfaction towards mainstream education that skills as low as 5% engineers for high-growth careers, SOAL guides its learners to acquire occupational skills, cultural perspectives and the mindset necessary to work in 21st-century organizations. In a student-first environment that builds logical thinking, SOAL is disrupting the century-old teacher-centric, rote-learning & classroom approach. While many of its predecessors are still grappling to build essential skills like systems thinking, empathy, communication, and collaboration, SOAL works on the all-round development of the students to enable them to be a part of fast-moving teams.

Speaking up in support of SOAL’s pedagogy, Pradeep Desu of Uber and GoJek, one of the many industry veterans backing SOAL’s promise, said, “SOAL’s Program maintains a consistent alignment with industry requirements by keeping learning sharp, focused and relevant. We need great product developers and not just good engineers. SOAL promises to deliver on this front too

In a short span of 12 months since its launch, SOAL’s product engineering alumni are already making it proud, whether it is Suma Kommajosyula, Team Lead at a NASSCOM-recognized blockchain startup, Akhil Nair, a software engineer at a Fortune 500 company or Rahul Korada who got promoted and doubled his CTC within a year. The proprietary methodology, “Meta-learning” is transforming students with a passion for code into solution-focussed programmers, getting them hired by organizations building revolutionary tech like ClearTax, Shopclues, Paymatrix, Schrocken, NowFloats, ThoughtWorks, etc.

Having witnessed the success of these grads using its path-breaking learning-tech platform and methods, SOAL is now gearing up to empower more Indian youth to achieve their career ambitions. While the immediate next stop is the launch of the Mumbai Campus by December, the future holds beefing up operations pan India as well as creating a bouquet of programs in creative-tech such as AI, Blockchain and Design.

Getting ready for this uphill climb, Desai Co-Founder at SOAL shared, “At SOAL, we are building what the college of today, in the 21st century would look like. The idea is to create a better, more relevant system of learning where learners pick up skills that will help them embrace and drive disruption rather than get disrupted by it. The time for this archaic college system is up!
