Mumbai:Ex-Femina Miss India 2014, Koyal Rana judged the Miss Wow contest which had seen 14 participants competing amongst themselves for the coveted Miss Wow 2016 title held on 11th June 2016 in Surat (Gujarat).

International Institute of Fashion and Technology (IIFT) in Surat along with Eventology, an event management institute, in Surat which manages various events, had come up with a unique platform “Miss Wow 2016” for all the deserving girls. It is one of the credible beauty pageants in India which has a pedigree of 3 years curated by Ornob Moitra and Mukesh Maheshwari who is the director of IIFT Surat. The event was co-sponsored by Dr. Sakhiya Skin Clinic (beauty partner), Crystal Palace (hospitality partner) and Mystery Box (grooming partner).

The girls were judged on the basis of their attitude, intelligence, the way their carry themselves, presentation skills and ability to answer questions. Miss WOW is a fusion of the fashion, lifestyle and entertainment. Miss Wow is a beauty competition which commenced in the year 2014. Since then there had been an invariable growth in the number of participants.

Komal Chandel was chosen as the winner of the Miss Wow 2016 contest. On account of such a great win she explains “It feels at the top of the world when you are crowned Miss Wow 2016. Yes my efforts to this journey have added to my unforgettable moments in my life. If the start was so enlightening then there I am sure there is lot more in store”. Gujarat girl, Komal Chandel has won a modeling contract and is also the official brand face of IIFT Gujarat now.

The first runner up for the contest was Nupoor Tailor who explains “Winning Miss Wow is an amazing achievement. It’s not just about the competition but it’s about a lot of experiences that I had during the preparation of the competition which has made me feel more confident about myself.” Rashi Shah was the second runner up.

Mukesh Maheshwari, the director of IIFT shared the gratitude for this event saying “Looking at the success of the Miss Wow contest in Gujarat and looking at the increase in the number of participants year after year, we at IIFT are aiming to take this contest nationwide in the near future. It is not just Gujarat but women from all over the nation has a right to take part in these competitions who think they can compete with one another to build their name in the fashion industry.”

Ornob Moitra, director of Eventology, adds on to this “Miss Wow not only focuses on beauty but also it gives a chance to all the beautiful women out there to find a MISS WOW in themselves in terms of confidence and self belief. Our main aim is to offer a proper guidance to all the women participants in leading their way to the glamour industry.

IIFT in Gujarat has been the front runner in heading a fashion contest for all the Gujju girls who are passionate about fashion. Miss Wow is a hardcore fashion event which has given a chance to every deserving woman to present themselves in the fashion industry.
