Guwahati : Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police recently launched a joint operation to nab a NSCN (Khango) 2 cadre in Dimna district. This was disclosed by the Assam Rifles in a tweet. Taking to Twitter, Assam Rifles wrote: “The joint operation and seizures by Assam Rifles Nagaland Police on December 13 in the apprehension of NSCN (Khango) 2 cadre active in Dimapur district included an AK-47 rifle, a .303 rifle and live rounds. The Assam Rifles were able to recover arms and ammunition from the NSCN (Khango) cadre.
The Assam Rifles claimed that the terrorist cadre is actively working for the Khango faction of NSCN. Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police recovered live rounds of an AK-47 rifle, a .303 rifle and ammunition. On the other hand, a joint team led by Assam Rifles and DGP Nagaland arrested 3 persons on Monday at Dimapur in Nagaland. Illegal arms, ammunition and a huge quantity of liquor were recovered from them. A spokesman for the Indian Army’s Eastern Command said that illegal arms, liquor and ammunition have been recovered by arresting 3 persons from Dimapur on Somawar. Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police have carried out the operation.
