New Delhi: World Realtors Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the 12th Annual Convention hosted by APP with NAR-India on 21st March 2021 at Aerocity in New Delhi. True to its theme Opportunities Infinite, the conclave offered a multitude of opportunities to real estate professionals, developers, architects, financial institutions and many national as well as international delegates..
Mr. Sumanth Reddy, President, NAR India emphasised, “The convention would reach fruitation if even non-members reaped the benefits of the opportunities presented during the event. I encourage them to participate whole heartedly and enrol to their respective city association to leverage the open forum for exchange of ideas and information”.
The attendees leveraged the largest real estate platform to develop connections, foster relationships and educate themselves about the latest developments in the industry.
“NAR- India has always been focused on imbibing transparency, accountability, ethical practices and professional conduct into real estate brokerage. In synergy with the same vision, several workshops and panel discussions have been organized and designed, such that participants may reap the benefits of the vast treasure trove of knowledge present here,” said Mr Tarun Bhatia, Incoming President, NAR–India and Chairman APP Delhi NCR , in his inaugural speech.
The convention laid emphasis upon a social cause it sought to further i.e., the education of children in the UT of Ladakh. APP and NAR-India partnered with the 17000 Feet Foundation, a Not-for-Profit Section 25 company, to execute this noble transformation for the children of India’s youngest UT. Philanthropists were more than happy to contribute towards the initiative and supported it wholeheartedly.
With a wholehearted support towards the cause, Mr. Ravi Varma, Chairman, NAR-India said, “The UT of Ladakh, during its conflicted state, unfortunately was not privy to good educational facilities. However, it is time to change that and provide the children in that beautiful UT with a good quality education, as is their basic right. We are grateful to the 17000 Feet Foundation for taking up such a relevant cause and taking the initiative to usher in positive change on that front.”
Appreciating the participation in the convention, Mr Kshitij Nagpal – Head, NAR-INDIA North Zone & President, APP Delhi NCR, said “It reminds me of the bonds we create over time during the long span of our careers. Developer-broker interactions constitute a major part of our lives in real estate, and as we transact in business, we also transact in trust, reliability & emotion – the 3 pillars upon which we build some solid relationships.”
The highlight of the event was the presence of former Commonwealth wrestling champion Ms Geeta Phogat who inspired the entire congregation with her moving story of perseverance and unflinching resilience. Her appreciation of the convention was heartfelt and sincere. “The country needs to fight COVID19 together. Resilience and discipline have helped many including me achieve the pinnacles of success and the real estate fraternity is no exception. It is a proud moment for all of us present here to be contributing towards the nation’s progress despite all the shortcomings that stand before us today. We must go on with the same spirit,” she said.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, ample precautions were taken, and all safety protocols were strictly adhered to. For the first time in its history, the convention was hosted physically as well as digitally in order to provide more networking opportunities to professionals joining in from different geographies.
Mr. Nitin Jain, President-Elect, APP Delhi-NCR, said “It is heart-warming to see all the dignitaries & delegates present here with adherence to all COVID protocols, but heart breaking to know that due to the pandemic we were not able to summon the full strength of our fraternity to this convention. This conclave is a symbol of our bounce-back attitude and our unflinching conviction to keep pedalling on despite all the hardships. It is exactly what will pull us through as well.
Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs; Ministry of Aviation; Ministry of Commerce and Industry, joined the event virtually along with other government dignitaries and real estate stalwarts to speak on this momentous occasion. They threw light on the opportunities as well as challenges that presented themselves during this nearly post-covid-era. As the number of covid cases steadily rose in the country, they encouraged one and all to exercise full caution while they were required to venture outside a protected environment.
All in all, day 1 was a grand success and we look forward to having a promising, engaging, enlightening and fun session on Day 2 with some more special guests expected to join the conclave.
