NASSCOM National President R.Chandrashekar to deliver key note address on “Industry Perspective and Opportunities for SMEs”

Hyderabad:  ITsAP — The IT and ITES Industry Association of Andhra Pradesh, an apex body of  300 IT & ITES industries in the state to organize an Annual ITsAP SME Conference 2014 here in city on 19th March at HICC.  It will be a one full day conference to be held from 9am to 6pm, disclosed Mr. V. Rajanna, President of ITsAP in a press note issued in city today.

Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, ITE&C, Government of Andhra Pradesh;  P. Satyanarayana, MD of APTS, M.N. Rao, Director of Center for Good Governance. Srinath Reddy, MD of RAMINFO and other are expected to grace the occasion and address the gathering.

Former Telecom Secretary and current NASSCOM National President R. Chandrashekhar, who took over charge recently as President of a body that represents the $ 108 billion Indian IT_BPM Industry will deliver a key note address on Industry Perspective and Opportunities for SMEs.  He was the first to establish the department of information technology in the country in the state of Andhra Pradesh and was secretary of the department from June 1997 to December 1999.

SMEs are backbone to the economy.  If the Indian IT/ITES industry needs to enter the next phase of growth, Small and medium enterprise (SME) sector has the potential to be one of the key drivers. IT/ITES SMEs have built niche products and services, which have helped them, grow and compete globally. They now contribute to more than 20% of the overall export revenue estimated at USD108 billion during the FY2013. In spite of the impressive performance and the key role the SMEs play, they encounter many stumbling blocks: Market access, funding, attract and retain talent, leadership development, domain knowledge.

It is in this background the full day conference will be organized to address some of these core issues by bringing together Thought Leaders, Successful Entrepreneurs, Key Government Officials, Finance & Technology Experts under one roof for IT SMEs to network and learn informed Mr. Rajanna,President of ITsAP.

Some of the key areas the one day meet will cover include Technology Overview and Evolving Opportunities/Business Models; Opportunities in e-Commerce and BFSI. It will also have an open house with successful entrepreneurs. The participants will also be familiarized with Policy framework and Opportunities to engage with Government and learn to get Operational Excellence (Currency Hedging, Virtualisation, and Managed Services)
