India will observe a national mourning on Saturday as a mark of respect to departed King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.
According to an official release, the national flag will be flown at half mast throughout the country and there will be no official entertainment during the day.
Saudi Arabia’s new King Salman has pledged continuity, hours after his accession to the throne following the death of his half-brother, King Abdullah.
King Salman moved swiftly to appoint heirs and ministers including one prince from the ruling dynasty’s third generation.
King Abdullah died on Thursday night, weeks after being admitted to hospital with a lung infection.
Within hours taking to the throne of the oil-rich kingdom, King Salman vowed to maintain the same policies as his predecessors.
