  • Nationwide NRC will be implemented if party comes to power says Amit Shah

    BJP President Amit Shah has said that nationwide NRC will be implemented if his party comes back to power at the Centre. Addressing a press conference in Kolkata this morning Mr Shah asserted that the Citizenship Amendment bill will be passed in the Rajya Sabha before taking up the NRC issue.

    The BJP President assured that all Bangladeshi refugees and religious minorities will be given citizenship. Mr Shah said that BJP government will take effective steps to deal with terrorism, repealing of article 370 and 35A of the constitution besides taking firm steps against infiltrators. Criticising the opposition he said that they have no united leader neither any policy to deal with the security of the country.

    Referring to the Trinamul Congress Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s allegations against the Election Commission the BJP President said that the poll body has stopped her rigging plan in the elections that is why she is blaming the Commission.

    He appealed to the voters to cast their votes fearlessly and said an adequate number of Central Para-Military forces have been deployed for their safety and security.Mr. Shah will address series of election rallies in the State today.
