Nawaz Sharif urges UK to support Pakistan to get GSP Plus status

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to support all initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan. He was talking to British Foreign Secretary William Hague in Islamabad on Thursday. Nawaz Sharif asked Britain to support Pak efforts to secure GSP plus status with the European Union.

The Pak leader also apprised Secretary Hague of initiatives aimed at improving relations with India‚ including the revival of back channel diplomacy and the resumption of the dialogue process.
