  • NCR Appoints Managing Director for Channel Business in Emerging Markets

    CHENNAI, India – NCR Corporation today announced Yiannos Papadopoulos as managing director for NCR channel sales in Emerging Markets Group, which comprises Brazil, India, China and Middle East/Africa.  Yiannos will be based in Beijing, China, reporting to Stelios Fragkos, region vice president Emerging Markets Group, and David Wilkinson, vice president global channel sales and he will focus on growing NCR’s indirect channel business in these markets, as well as expanding partnership business through distributor and reseller organizations.

    Yiannos’ primary objective is to drive profitable growth for the indirect channel business through the development and evolution of NCR’s channel strategy in the Emerging Markets Group and he will also focus on increasing sales coverage, as well as providing additional services reach and capabilities in these markets.

    The Emerging Markets Group is a strategic and important market for NCR with tremendous growth potential and Yiannos’ appointment reaffirms NCR’s increased focus and commitment to its customers in this fast growing and dynamic market.

    During his 13 years with NCR, Yiannos has shown high achievements and has grown fairly quickly in his role.  He has held roles of increasing responsibility, including solution director for retail in Middle East and Africa, general manager for NCR South Africa and channels managing director for Middle East and Africa region.

    Headed by Stelios Fragkos, NCR has created a dedicated Emerging Markets Group to focus on expanding NCR’s customer base, revenue and profitability in Brazil, India, China and Middle East and Africa. The new organization arrangement will create the focus required to deliver responsive support to customers’ needs by extending NCR’s partnership approach and tightly aligning the company’s regional go-to-market, R&D and manufacturing strategies.
