CHENNAI, IndiaNCR Corporation today introduced new solutions in India that improve the ATM experience for banking customers. Through three new NCR SelfServ™ Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) models, a secure, wireless connectivity solution for remote ATM deployment, and NCR APTRA eMarketing, a software tool to better connect with consumers, NCR’s new innovations will help financial institutions in India deliver a more reliable, faster and more personalized consumer experience through self-service at the ATM channel.

In order to help banks deploy ATMs in remote sites, NCR unveiled NCR Smart Connections – a Global-System-for-Mobiles(GSM)-based wireless solution in partnership with Symstream Technology Group Ltd, delivering a  secure, fast and flexible deployment as compared to conventional satellite-based Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) and other solutions available in the market. The remote modem configuration of NCR Smart Connections is centrally managed, making its installation as simple as inserting and activating the SIM card – thus overcoming connectivity challenges normally encountered at remote sites.

Sharing his views on the launch, Mr. Jaivinder Gill, managing director for NCR India said, “The launch of these new solutions is another example of NCR executing its growth strategy and commitment to India. As consumers do more through the ATM channel, it becomes imperative for financial institutions to ensure their ATM network is constantly up and running and offering an outstanding customer experience. NCR is committed to delivering the best in technology and services and will continue to innovate in changing the way consumers connect, interact and transact with businesses.”

To help banks connect to their customers and enhance customer experience, NCR also launched in India NCR APTRATM eMarketing – its multi-channel banking and connectivity solutions. By delivering an integrated multi-channel marketing campaign based on consumers’ preferences, NCR APTRA eMarketing enables business to break digital and physical marketing silos, creating the seamless, personalized experience demanded by today’s on-the-go consumer. Response rates with APTRA eMarketing are typically 60 percent higher than traditional marketing programs.

The NCR SelfServ 22e uses low-energy LED lighting and fixed length receipts to minimize power consumption, carbon footprint and paper waste, making it a valuable asset in both achieving environmental goals and reducing total cost of ownership.

The NCR SelfServ 42 is a multi-function ATM offering cash dispense and envelope deposit with the flexibility to upgrade to advanced functions. The NCR SelfServ 32 is India’s first ‘no envelope’ multi-function intelligent deposit ATM with dedicated intelligent cash deposit and recycling functionality.
