NeighborWorks Housing Solutions Participates in Falmouth Road Race

Team NHS raises more than $4,000 to support organization’s programs and services

Associates of NeighborWorks® Housing Solutions the leading housing service provider in southern Massachusetts, teamed up to participate in the Asics Falmouth Road Race, hosted on August 15 in Falmouth, raising more than $4,000 for the organization.

The 49th annual road race was back on track this year and in-person after being held virtually in 2020 due to the pandemic. A limited 8,000 in-person runners ran the seven-mile Cape Cod course with an additional 3,000 registered runners completing the seven miles virtually over the course of two Saturdays in August.

Participating runners that comprised Team NHS included Christopher Fleser of Braintree, Emily Hall of Fall River, Pat Neenan of Kingston, and Sarah Collard of Hingham.

The Falmouth Road Race was established in 1973 and has become one of the premier running events of the summer season. The race draws an international field of Olympians and elite, and recreational runners out to enjoy the iconic seven-mile seaside course. Proceeds from the race benefit local organizations through donations, scholarships, grants, and sponsorships.

“We’re proud of Team NHS and their participation in this important fundraiser,” said Robert Corley, CEO of NeighborWorks Housing Solutions. “And we are incredibly grateful to the Asics Falmouth Road Race, Inc. for sponsoring this historic race, and allowing nonprofits, like NHS, to participate and raise critical resources that directly support our mission and programs.”
