  • Nepal has fully geared up to celebrate 5th International Day of Yoga. Hundreds of programmes will be organised across the Himalayan nation tomorrow to celebrate Yoga Day.

    The celebration committee formed by Government of Nepal will organise a procession and Yoga practice and preaching programme in Kathmandu to celebrate International Day of Yoga. Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli will grace the occasion as chief guest.

    Indian Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri and other dignitaries will also attend the event. In historic Janakpur city, a special programme will be organised early in the morning at the premises of the famous Janaki temple. In the evening a Yoga Utsav will be held in temple premises. The event is organised by the Embassy of India in association with Janaki temple trust and Patanjali Yogpeeth Nepal.

    Besides hundreds of Yoga enthusiasts, Governor and Chief Minister of Province 2, senior leaders from Center and Province 2 and officials of Indian Embassy Kathmandu and Consul General of India Birgunj will also join Yoga Day celebrations. Patanjali Yogpeeth Nepal has also planned events in all seven provinces of the Himalayan nation.

    According to organizers, more than two hundred programmes will be held in all 77 districts headquarters to celebrate International Day of Yoga.
