  • Mumbai : Netz Capital Advisors, a PE and VC advisory firm will launch the concept of Innovation Townships near Mumbai, Bangalore and other cities in India to promote open culture for employment growth and job creation like silicon valley. “We are working on JV deals near Bangalore and Mumbai to launch the concept of Innovation Townships. India’s current growth story has little innovation, that is why inflation is increasing at rapid rate with infusion of cash into India’s economy. Lot of areas such as Green Energy, social infra, agriculture, basic infrastructure needs grass root innovators for India to really grow. Through Innovation Townships, we are creating a infrastructure platform for people with high energy levels from industry, academia and investment to gather and find definitive solutions for problems in India’s growth story.” says Atul Khekade, Chief conceptualizer of Innovation Township and Founding Partner of Netz Capital Advisors.

“Innovation Township will be executed on a minimum area of 100 acres and will have an integrated infrastructure such as housing, offices, academic infra and open incubation areas for high energy level people from industries and academia.”

“Current states of Global economy need a lot of Innovation Townships not just in India but also across the world. Innovation Townships will become a trillion dollar business.” said Mr. Arvind Mhatre, an economic expert “Only opening FDI gates and infusion of money into an economy is just going to increase the inflation, unless the economy has a lot of grass root innovators. I am glad Innovation Township has taken the initiative to provide an infrastructure for the same.” he added.

“Currently, the debt and equity in the Indian market is getting invested into dead real estate spaces without any creative human activity. This has created an asset bubble that can bust any day. Money should flow towards infrastructure centered around problem solving and not just a dead real estate investment expecting an appreciation that causes a bubble. Similar dead investments in asset has resulted in the world’s biggest recession lead by US.” said a CEO of Fortune 500 education firm, who requested anonimity.

Work for first Innovation Township will be off the ground in 2011 and 4 other such townships will be launched by 2013.
