    New Coronavirus cases reported from different states; No case from Andaman and Nicobar Islands

    In Punjab, the number of persons, who have been tested positive for novel corona virus has risen to 26. The 220 cases out of 282 tested persons have been found negative

    Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that in the recent days  over 94000 NRIs and foreign returned persons  had entered the state and  most had been tracked. He said that around 30,000 persons had been placed under isolation. He said that all-out efforts are being made to trace the remaining and constant monitoring is in progress to keep check on any new entrants. He said that it is imperative to maintain distance, and also to trace and test all those who had returned from Corona-affected countries.

    He said that strict action is being taken, with prosecution under Section 188 IPC, against those found violating the curfew. He warned that  a close watch is being kept on the 48,000 persons under home quarantine to prevent them from moving out under any circumstances.

    In Madhya Pradesh, two more new cases of corona virus infection are found in the state. The number of affected in the state has now increased to nine. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the measures to prevent the outbreak of corona virus in the state. He also directed to impose curfew in Gwalior and Shivpuri. Curfew is already in place in Bhopal and Jabalpur while there is lock down in 37 districts.

    According to official information, one corona infected patient each has been found in Gwalior and Shivpuri today. The patient found in Gwalior had recently returned from Khajuraho and the patient from Shivpuri has come from Dubai. So far, more than a hundred samples of possible Corona infections have been sent for investigation. 69 cases found negative and the investigation report of 29 patients is yet to come.

    Two more people tested positive for corona virus in Srinagar today, taking the toll of positive cases of Corona Virus infection in Jammu and Kashmir to six. With the fresh cases, the number of corona virus positive patients in Srinagar city has gone up to three, while the total number of infected persons in the union territory rose to six. J&K Government spokesman and Principal Secretary Planning department, Rohit Kansal has said, out of the two one patient has confirmed travel history outside India and full details regarding the second patient is being ascertained. However, Government Medical College, Jammu declared as dedicated COVID-19 hospital for Jammu Province which is to be readied by the evening of 25th March 2020, Mr. Kansal added .

    In Tripura, State Health Department has identified 11 co-passengers with the girl from Manipur who was tested COVID-19 positive and they have been put under home quarantine.

    Health officials said the department is consistently monitoring the health condition of the persons if there is any development of symptoms. The identification of passengers has been taken up after finding out that Manipuri girl who returned from the UK flew from Kolkata via Agartala to Imphal. Meanwhile, the state government has imposed a curfew across the state as a preventive measure to contain the spreading of the disease.

    However, Union Territory Ladakh has not reported positive cases of Covid 19 for the last two successive days. Union Territory Ladakh Spokesperson Commissioner Secretary Rigzin Samphel has said sample results of 18 received yesterday are tested nagative. These reports are include 15 from Kargil and 3 from Leh. He also said total number Covid-19 positive cases in Ladakh is now reduced from 13 to 11 with two infected have tested nagative twice. The nagative sample report is also include of a Passenger of GoAir-617 who had admitted just after deboard at KBR airport, Leh as suspected of covid is tested nagative. The two covid 19 positive patients after reports of nagative for twice have been discharge from the isolation ward of SNM Hospital, Leh yesterday night.

    Meanwhile, no cases of COVID-19 has been reported from Andaman

    and Nicobar Islands but the local administration has announced more severe counter measures to combat the threat of the Novel Corona Virus Disease. To restrict movement of people, the Andaman and Nicobar Administration has imposed a ban on sale of Petrol and diesel to the General Public till the midnight of 26.03.2020.
