NHRC issues notice to DGP, West Bengal

National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has issued a notice to the Director General of Police-DGP, West Bengal over reported police action in which  20 persons including Civic Agency staff and lawyers received head injuries.

Taking suo motu cognisance of the media report in this regard, the Commission issued a notice to the DGP and called for a detailed report in the matter within four weeks.
