Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has refuted the claim made by China that there was a simultaneous outbreak of coronavirus across the world, citing lack of clinching evidence to support the argument.
Answering a question during his weekly public media interaction Sunday Samvaad, the Minister asserted that Wuhan in China is recognized worldwide as the first instance of the outbreak of COVID-19 being reported.
In response to a question on India’s dependence on China for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, the Minister said that measures have been taken to make India self-reliant in the manufacturing of APIs.
