  • Non-Profit Eastern Medicine Responds! Inc. Continues to Provide Care to South Shore Health System’s Nurses and First Responders throughout COVID19

    WEYMOUTH and HANOVER: The non-profit Eastern Medicine Responds! is continuing to provide care to South Shore Health System’s nurses and first responders throughout COVID 19.

    Gina Girouard Lic.Ac. of New England Wellness Solutions (http://newellnesssolutions.com), created the non-profit in direct response to COVID19 and the stressors put upon Western medicine colleagues at South Shore Health. The non-profit Eastern Medicine Responds! Inc established a satellite clinic in May of 2020 2/10 mile from South Shore Health and donated 216 clinic hours to the hospital workers in the height of the pandemic.


    They have evolved into a clinic 100% dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the South Shore Health team during COVID19, offering a space for holistic healing from pain and stress. The CDC acknowledges, that hospital workers… “Providing care to others during the COVID-19 pandemic can lead to stress, anxiety, fear, and other strong emotions. During this pandemic, it is critical that (healthcare personal and first responders) recognize what stress looks like, take steps to build your resilience and cope with stress, and know where to go if you need help.”

    Gina Girouard Lic.Ac. is a Massachusetts Board of Medicine (BORIM) licensed Acupuncture Therapist.  Her past clinical experience includes providing a full range of care to patients at the MCPHS University Health Center Worcester MA, supporting independent living for adults over 55 with chronic health issues at PACE Health Center Lynn MA and educating patients on the diverse range of health benefits of Eastern Medicine in the Family Medicine Department of UMass Memorial Hospital Worcester MA. She is also the recipient of several service and leadership awards from MCPHS University. Her specialties include pain management and women’s health. Her sub-specialties include acute and chronic pain, dental pain and anxiety, insomnia, respiratory health and pre,peri and post menopause.
