Hyderabad :Northeastern India has a very rich cultural extravaganza which includes various kinds of folk songs from  the “SEVEN SISTERS”-Assam, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh .Folk Music is an ingrained component of the culture of  Northeast India which relates to the amazing and beautiful natural surroundings in the region.

One hundre and fifty Occcupational Health and Safety professionals from all over Indian given an experience of North East Culture here at Hotel Radisson Blue at the ongoing National Meet on Occupational Health and Safety on Friday night.

The local group of 12 artists presented a capsule with vivid description of the local culture, tradition etc

Using local and traditional instruments such as Khuang, Tati, Dhama, Pepa, Dhol, Gongimana the young and talented artists enthralled the audience so much so that they stood up and gave standing ovation to the performers.

The delegates who are visitors to the Guwahati for the first time thrilled to watch the famous bamboo dance of the region.

The male performers kept clapping the bamboos rhythmically while groups of beautiful girls danced in an intricate steps between the beating bamboos .

I haver personally witnessed for the first time the most famous and beautiful dances in Mizoram which is said to be a center of attraction during festive occasions said Alok, a delegate from Andhra Pradesh

The performance also gave a peek into the life in north east states and what makes it the most distinct region of India. The top executives of many reputed organisations and Public Sector Undertakings like NMDC, ONGC etc enjoyed.

The audience made to believe by the performers that the Northeast India known as Seven Sister States is also considered as the paradise unexplored and known for its natural beauty,diversity, rare and unique wildlife, people and culture.
