  • NRIs in UAE give thumbs up to the Budget presented by FM

    A number of Non-Resident Indians in the UAE gave a thumbs up to the maiden Budget presented by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament today.

    Calling it a well-balanced budget, encouraging new start-ups, the women and Youth of India, Mr BR Shetty, Founder and Chairman of the NMC Healthcare said that it is a dawn of New India.

    Mr Shetty said that he is pretty sure this budget will take the Indian growth story to a different level.
    Commenting on the Budget 2019, Yusuffali, Chairman of the Lulu Group said that the first budget of Modi 2.0 Govt. has very efficiently covered almost all critical sectors which will surely boost India’s march towards becoming a 5 trillion dollar economy.

    The key takeaways for Mr Yusuffali are the stress given to rural and agricultural development, women entrepreneurship and making India the global education hub of excellence. He said, as an NRI he is extremely happy to note that Aadhar issuing process has been simplified which will make their lives much easier.

    For Rizwan Sajan, founder and chairman, Danube, Aadhar card on arrival for NRIs is a game changer. He said the other big news from the budget is that there will be no more digital payment charges.

    Nimish Makvana, President of the Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC), Dubai hailed the Budget and said that the target to achieve  5 trillion dollar economy is not far. He said the intention to open investments with FDI in aviation, insurance and media sector will have big flow investments and a great opportunity for the business community outside India.
